Maltese community mourns the loss of Charles Belli

The Maltese community in Victoria is mourning the sad loss of one of its prominent members, Charles Belli, who passed away on Sunday 18 December 2016, aged 84 years. Maltese Community Councils of Victoria and NSW discuss joint response on SBS Radio criteria

On Monday 5 December Executive Committee members from the Maltese Community Councils of Victoria and NSW met at the Maltese Community Centre in Parkville to discuss the draft SBS Radio Review language selection criteria that SBS recently published for public consultation. Appointment of new Australian High Commissioner to Malta announced

On 14 November 2016 the Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs, the Hon. Julie Bishop, announced the appointment of Ms Julienne Hince (pictured right), a career diplomat, as Australia's next High Commissioner to Malta. SBS Radio has launched a public consultation on the language selection criteria it is proposing for an SBS Radio Services Review.
