Maltese community in Melbourne farewells Consul General Joanna Pisani
On Wednesday 9 January 2019 the MCCV held a reception at the Maltese Community Centre in Parkville to farewell Ms Joanna Pisani, Malta’s Consul General for Victoria and thank her for her services to the Maltese community. Malta’s Consul General in Melbourne to leave her current posting next month
Consul General Ms Joanna Pisani Ms Joanna Pisani, Consul General for Malta in Victoria, has informed the Maltese Community Council of Victoria that she will sadly be leaving her current posting in Melbourne in January 2019. Ms Pisani started her posting in Melbourne in August 2017. She advised that she will be leaving to take up a posting in Malta’s diplomatic mission in Israel. MCCV awards Cultural Scholarship to a third generation Maltese
The Maltese Community Council of Victoria has awarded the 2018 MCCV Maltese Cultural Scholarship to Charlene Trestrail, who is third generation Maltese and a graduate in marine science. Charlene has lived most of her life in Melbourne, where her grandparents played a key role in helping her connect with her Maltese heritage.
